Breaking: EO Issued & New Pay Tables Published for 2019 Pay Increase

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, President Trump issued an Executive Order implementing the 2019 pay increase authorized by Congress at the end of the shutdown showdown back in January.

The EO directs the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to take action to implement the authorized pay increase. OPM published the new 2019 pay tables late this afternoon. You can see the new pay tables here:

According to the good folks at FedSmith, federal employees can expect to see the increase in their paychecks following the next full pay period. The new pay increase is retroactive to January 1, 2019, therefore feds can likely expect some retroactive pay once the pay agents catch up with the new pay rates.
